Birkentals finishes ahead of Rastorgujevs in France

Renārs Birkentāls claimed a decent 34th place in the 10-kilometre sprint at the biathlon World Cup in France on Friday, finishing ahead of the regular leader of the Latvian national team, Andrejs Rastorgujevs, who finished in 46th position. The third Latvian biathlete, Aleksandrs Patrijuks, did not make the top 60 so did not qualify for the pursuit event.
